Hannah Costa (b. 2001), a musician with a passion for exploration, began her musical journey as a student in Belleville, MI, with a primary focus on the clarinet. In 2020, her dedication to music led her to the world of composition, where she discovered her true voice as a creator.
Hannah’s compositional work focuses on creating meaningful pieces for saxophone and wind ensemble, blending unique ideas with engaging melodies. Her music has been featured at the North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference on two occasions. The first, Abbraccio, was performed in 2023, and the second, Searching/Finding/Lost, Then Found, a three-movement saxophone solo with piano accompaniment, was presented at the 2024 conference. These performances reflect her growing contributions to contemporary wind music.
In addition to composing, Hannah also began exploring the world of percussion in 2023, broadening her musical skills and perspective. Her versatility reflects her dedication to continuous learning and musical growth.
